FAQ’SFrequently Asked
Frequently Asked
Questions.
Do I really launch a real business during the program?
Yes. This is not a simulation. You will identify a validated problem, register your business with CAC, secure startup capital, acquire real customers, and generate actual revenue. By Week 12, you present live financial statements and operational results to an investor panel. Graduates leave with a running business, not just a certificate.
Where are the in-person classes held?
Classes are held in Ilorin, Nigeria (exact venue shared upon enrollment). Sessions run Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with two time slots: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Field work for customer interviews and CAC registration happens in and around Ilorin. Cohort size is limited to 15-25 participants for personalized attention
Will I learn about capital raising because I need money??
You will learn to secure N50,000 - N500,000 from realistic sources including bootstrapping, personal savings, friends and family, microfinance loans, government grants, and early customer pre-sales. We teach you capital raising strategies in Week 2 and help you structure funding proposals. The goal is to start lean and validate before scaling.
What if my business idea fails during the program?
Failure is part of the curriculum. We teach lean startup methodology, pivot strategies, and rapid validation. If your initial idea does not gain traction, you will learn to iterate based on customer feedback, adjust your model, or pivot to a new opportunity. The assessment focuses on your learning process, financial discipline, and execution, not just revenue numbers.
What are the graduation requirements?
To graduate, you must achieve: (1) 80%+ attendance (86 of 108 hours), (2) Complete capstone documentation including 3-month financial statements, operational reports, and growth projections, (3) Pass the live panel presentation (minimum 50%), (4) Demonstrate business registration and operational proof, and (5) Show minimum N50,000 cumulative revenue or a clear path to profitability
What certification do I receive?
You receive a "Real Business Founder" certificate with three distinction levels: Pass (50-69%), Credit (70-84%), or Distinction (85-100%). This includes a verified course transcript, portfolio of evidence (financial statements, testimonials, registration proof), a LinkedIn digital badge, and a letter of recommendation if deserved. Most importantly, you keep your running business.
